The soap placement is baffling—it’s located far from the shower!!! Be prepared for poor lather and a bathroom mess!!! Housekeeping barely made an effort when dressing the beds, leaving them a chaotic pile!!!

I spent two nights in a cozy room that fit my needs. The hotel's location made exploring the area easy. I enjoyed the breakfast selection, especially the fruit and cereals, although I would have liked more variety. In the evenings, I found a nice spot at the bar to wind down with a glass of wine. Ordering at the bar was simple. I appreciated being able to relax in such a convenient setting during my travels as a single traveler from New York.

The air conditioning did not work, which might be challenging in warmer weather. Also, the hot food choices at breakfast were repetitive.

The location was ideal for exploring, just a 10-minute walk to the old town. Clean, tidy room made for a comfy stay.

I really liked how close everything was—just a short walk to both the railway and bus stations. My room had a kettle for making tea, and there was complimentary water, which was a nice touch. The breakfast had a decent selection, although a bit more variety wouldn't hurt. One downside was the creaky floors that made moving around the hotel a little noisy at times.

I stayed at the Ibis in Riga for three nights in a Standard Room with One Double Bed. The location had its perks, being super close to both the train and bus stations, making it easy to hop on a bus to the airport. The nearby park and shops were handy too, even found a store for an SD card I forgot. The breakfast had a decent selection, though it could have offered more variety, especially in the pastries. On the downside, the room felt cramped. it wasn't much bigger than a shoebox, and the only pillow provided was pretty worn out. The water pressure in the shower was low, which was frustrating. The fact that my room had squeaky floors made it noisy at times, especially when moving around. Overall, if you're just after a place to crash near the stations, it works, but I wouldn't stay here again for longer visits due to the space constraints and noise.

Checking in was a breeze, even at 3:30 AM, and I loved the breakfast spread in the basement with so many options! The sun terrace was great for relaxing with drinks, and I enjoyed lounging there. Just a heads up—it’d be nice if rooms were refreshed a bit more often, but overall, I had a fantastic stay! 😊
